imagine having a million in your bank account

i was TRYING to really feel how it's like to have so much money. it felt liberating, well, almost on top of the world. i was getting all excited; damn, i can finally buy ANYTHING i want. like the latest collection of my favourite brands, without any inhibitions or hesitance. if that looks good on me, it's gonna be in my closet this very second!! oh and that bag! that perfect bag i've been eyeing for. topped with those sexy shoes i was salivating all this while. i could easily indulge myself with all the material comforts and bask in such luxury, just because i can afford it.

but then, i was thinking. how long can this last? wouldn't this get boring? probably, the mere fact that i can ACTUALLY afford these(without any worries at all) makes the whole spending less exciting. it may sound paradoxical but come to think of it, it might be true. imagine having THAT amount of wealth and thus, you can easily buy anything you want because simply, you can afford it. the whole excitement getting something new wouldn't be relevant, the whole novelty of spending is slowly rubbed off. now, the whole dimension of spending is ascribed to the fact that you can EASILY do it because well, you are rich. there's nothing to really treasure about

having that amount of wealth doesn't guarantee you happiness either. imagine having that kind of wealth without a true love(which i think will determine your true happiness). you'll feel empty, lonely and the great deal about having so much wealth wouldn't really be a deal afterall.

i guess at the end of the day, what we all need is love
